Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala has reached another career-high at 162nd in the latest Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings.
Eala jumped 8 notches from previous ranking at 170th last April 22 and beats her previous best at 169th last April 15 following first round upset over world no 41 Lesia Tsurenko of Ukraine at the WTA1000 Madrid Open.
She also placed 239th in the doubles rankings, which is also a career best.
Alex will return to competition this week at the W75 Zagreb in Croatia before the French Open Qualifying tournament the following week.
