The Philippines top junior tennis player Brice Vincent Baisa soars to a new career-high ranking at No. 1728 in the latest World Tennis Tour Junior Rankings as of May 13, 2024.
Brice who is currently playing in a series of ITF Junior Tournaments in Colombo, Sri Lanka reached the semi finals of the J30 Colombo Week 1 tournament after besting players from India and Nepal in the main draw.
He defeated Srivaant Reddy Muhammadi in three sets 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 followed by another victory in the Round of 16 over Hayagreve Athreya 6-0, 3-6, 2-0 (ret) both from India. In the quarterfinals, he prevailed over Pranav Manandhar of Nepal, 6-0, 6-3 before bowing out to top seed Wang Yen-Chun of Chinese Taipei in the semi finals, 0-6, 4-6.
The stellar performance being shown by Brice despite the extreme hot weather conditions in Sri Lanka transpired in the rankings. He also reached a milestone in his young career being a semi finalist for the first time in an ITF tournament.
Currently, the 15 years old tennis ace continues to participate in several ITF tournaments in Sri Lanka accompanied by his father Anthony Baisa who also serves as his coach.
