World No. 3 and Filipino pole vaulter Olympian EJ Obiena graced a homecoming event hosted by MILO Philippines in Pasig City last Tuesday, September 10.
MILO and Obiena renewed their partnership through a signing ceremony during the event. This aims to “bring the sport of pole vaulting to a growing audience.” MILO believes that this partnership will inspire young Filipinos to emulate the values of “grit and determination” that Obiena represents.
Obiena also happily receives a framed memorabilia featuring messages from his supporters during the homecoming ceremony.
“I HOPE I GIVE THAT REPRESENTATION THE BEST THAT I CAN” said Obiena on being ‘nation’s boyfriend’ as his photos with Milo packs gone viral because of his fans. He also mentioned that he will establish pole vault clinic to support the youth who has interest in the sport.
Meanwhile, netizens were quick to notice that Milo Philippine selected Obiena over two-time gold medalist Carlos Yulo for the endorsement role. It is believed by many netizens that Obiena fits well with the inspiring the youth and giving importance to the role of family in every success.
