Kheith Rhynne Cruz, the top table tennis player from the Philippines claimed gold and silver medals at the World Table Tennis Youth Contender Podgorica 2024 in Montenegro.
Cruz defeated Poland’s Natalia Bogdanowicz via a reverse sweep, 3-1 (7-11, 11-4, 11-4, 11-9) in the women’s U19 singles final round.
She also bagged silver medal in the U19 Mixed Doubles together with her American partner Botha Bosman after succumbing to the pair of Poland’s Natalia Bogdanowicz & Croatia’s Artur Gromek in the finals, 2-11, 2-11, 11-6, 9-11.

In the women’s single semifinals, she dominated France’s Jeanne Robbes, 3-0 (11-6, 11-5, 11-4) to book the spot in the final round.
Cruz soared to world no. 23 in the ITTF Table Tennis World Ranking for the Girls Under 19 age group as of September 17 as per the World Table Tennis site. She was previously ranked 32nd prior to her win in WTT Youth Contender Podgorica 2024.
