Karl Jahrel Eldrew Yulo, the younger brother of Golden Boy Carlos Yulo qualifies to the finals of Vault and Floor Exercise event at the 17th Men’s Junior Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The sole Philippine junior athlete in the competition landed 1st in vault qualifications scoring 14.100 points even with a .10 deduction on 5.2 difficulty and 9.00 execution. He also placed 8th in the floor exercise event registering 13.133 points on 5.0 difficulty and 8.133 execution to book a spot in the finals.
Eldrew also placed 17th overall in the individual all-around with a total score of 71.532 points.
The finals of the Junior Competition is scheduled on May 19 (1PM Philippine time) at the Universal Sport Palace in Tashkent.
Meanwhile, Carlos Yulo will compete on two events finals today (floor and still rings} while Ivan Cruz will join him in the floor exercise finals.
